Located in the heart of Southern California’s iconic beach community of Ventura, Jaguar Moon is perfectly poised for a tequila and taco takeover. This multi-tenant project will feature an agave spirit forward cocktail program by Good Lion Hospitality and Baja-Mediterranean Mexican cuisine crafted by Chef Ramon Velasquez, the Michelin Bib Gourmand Chef/Owner of Corazon and other award-winning eateries. Jaguar Moon will exude an atmosphere of playfulness and vibrancy. The name itself evokes a sense of mystery and allure, hinting at the lore of a place where ancient spirits of the underworld come alive under the night sky. The Jaguar is said to have the ability to cross between worlds, and for the Maya, daytime and nighttime represented two different worlds. We’ve translated this concept into our approach to color in the space, leaning on the idea of color inversion as seen in analog photography that flips all tones to their opposite hue on the color wheel.

Upon entering the establishment, you will immediately be greeted by an ambiance that transcends the worries of the outside world. The interior is thoughtfully designed with a blend of maximalism and anti-pandemic vigor; playing off bold unexpected color combinations, tropical elements, unique textures, and themes involving indigenous animals to Mexico to create a captivating space. The design concept represents the resilience of human spirit, demonstrating that even in the face of adversity, joy and connection can thrive. Projected project completion is slated for Spring 2024.
