Mason Beach Inn

Located steps from the sandy beaches, harbor, and always buzzing funk zone sits the newly renovated Mason Beach Inn. With bougainvillea draped pergolas and wrought iron fixtures, it's existing Spanish Colonial architecture embodies the quintessential style of Santa Barbara. Our Interiors team worked hand-in-hand with the developer and owners to give this sweet motel a major interior facelift. The team created an inviting and relaxed hotel experience featuring a classic coastal color palette and interesting details.

Guests enter at the refreshed lobby space which features custom lounge pieces and rattan accent furniture in addition to new artwork. The design team worked to meld the existing terracotta floors and exposed ceiling beams of the Spanish architecture with the playful feel of the guest rooms and corridors. A traditional fireplace was removed and the once drab walls and reception desk were updated to reinforce the light and bright vibe of the space. Guests are encouraged to enjoy complimentary refreshments from the coffee buffet while leafing through the latest local magazines in the lounge area.

Oversized and amusing artwork compliments the bold striped carpet adorning the corridor floors leading visitors to the newly renovated guest rooms. The rooms feature modern but timeless touches of relaxed coastal living. Navy and white textured walls set the scene; freestanding vanities with vibrant quartz counters sit below brightly lit custom wood sconces. Banana leaf patterned wallpaper, rattan furniture, and light oak floors are the perfect backdrop for a memorable getaway. Oversized loungers and a newly landscaped patio invite guests to enjoy the perfect weather and glistening pool, as well as, the adjoining outdoor lounge area. After sunbathing, the covered patio with chic patio furniture serves as an excellent spot to enjoy lunch alfresco!
